Gospel Clowns' Code of Ethics - By Ralph Dewey

1.  As a Christian and a Clown. I will always conduct myself in a clean an wholesome manner.
   
   

2. I will strive always to give a professional performance.
   
   

3. When in make-up, I will act as a Gospel Clown… not just a Christian in a costume.
   
   

4. I will strive to maintain the highest professional standards in my make-up, costume, props and routines.
   
   

5.   I will never belittle or downgrade other performers, interfere in their program or act, or reveal trade secrets to the general public.
   
   

6. As a clown, I will make fun only at myself or with the audience, never seeking laughs at the expense or embarrassment of others.
   
   

7. I will never make fun of any sacred ideals or sanctuary equipment, nor act in any manner that might degrade God’s Word. My first priority shall be to share the Gospel… fun and entertainment are secondary! I will never sacrifice Christian ideals for the sake of a laugh.
