About Katrina

Fairy Katrina has delighted thousands of New Zealand children with her skills in balloon twisting, magic tricks and party games.  She has worked extensively throughout Auckland in pre-schools, shopping malls, corporate events and children’s birthday parties.

Whilst living in London, Katrina trained in drama and acting classes.  The classes included ‘ACT FOR’ ⁽¹⁾ and ‘ACT TWO’ ⁽²⁾.  These classes helped Katrina create her own unique style and theatrical intelligence.

During her stay in London, Katrina took singing lessons from world-renowned singer and actor India Dupree ⁽³⁾.  The teachings of India Dupree provided Katrina with theatrical self-expression.

Katrina has travelled to over 35 countries, and on the way gathered vast amounts of creative flare from the cultures and customs that engulfed her.  From the colourful gypsies of Romania, to the glorious accents of the Irish, Welsh and Scottish, to the organised chaos of Asia, she lived and loved it all.

Katrina’s brother Marcus Liddell  (Fuzzy the Clown ⁽⁴⁾) has entertained thousands of children in New Zealand, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, and the UK.  From Marcus, Katrina learnt how to introduce a comical aspect to her performance.

In 2002 she helped Marcus with a clown workshop in Singapore.  Together they taught more than 60 people the art of clowning by exploring fun, creativity, and skit production.

Katrina is presently taking Living Theatre ⁽⁵⁾ classes with teacher Stephen Hollins.   Katrina is developing physical skills, non-verbal and verbal articulation, storytelling, character, sound and music skills.

Katrina has lived; she has searched life and found it.  These life experiences have moulded her ability to adapt to acting situations with confidence, flare and vitality.

She brings warmth to the camera and life to the stage. Katrina sets a high standard in every performance.
